| Wigan take over at the top of the Frontline
Fairplay Index.
Brian Noble’s Wigan Warriors side are the new leaders of the Frontline Fairplay Index after Round 2 of the engage Super League.
The Warriors gave away just five penalties last Friday in their 28-16 victory over the Castleford Tigers.
Last week’s leaders Huddersfield Giants conceded nine points during Round 2 and have dropped to joint second place with Bradford Bulls who moved up three places in this week’s Index.
Ryan McGoldrick’s sin binning against Wigan, combined with 11 penalties conceded, have resulted in Castleford remaining bottom of the Frontline Fairplay Index.
They are now 12 points adrift of Leeds Rhinos who have played one extra game.
The winners of the Frontline Fairplay Index, the best disciplined side in engage Super League, will win a trophy and a £5,000 prize from one of the UK's leading bathroom suppliers to the bathroom industry, Frontline Bathrooms.
The scoring system for the Frontline Fair Play Index in the engage Super League is:
1pt Technical penalty
2pts Foul play penalty
3pts Sin bin
4pts Sending off sufficient
5pts Each match ban (ie five matches is 25 points)
